After receiving my degree at UCLA, I took a chance and moved to Mexico for a year on an adventure to build a home, and that changed my life forever. After the home sold, I decided that I would spend a summer in Guadalajara, Mexico, designing furniture and accessories; focusing more on the interior design, rather than construction.

I fell in love with the array of Mexican handicrafts and the ingenuity of the craftsmen: carvers, glass blowers, weavers, blacksmiths, potters and carpenters. I learned how to combine elements and define my approach, which is eclectic, combining a neutral, clean foundation and adding color through artwork, accessories and fabrics. After that summer in 1996, I founded my design company, based in Los Cabos, Mexico.

After 20 years of designing throughout the United States and Mexico, I still look forward to the design challenges of each project in its unique setting. I find inspiration in my passion for travel, and I am always on the hunt for the perfect piece.

I believe my job is to bring design to life, based on the unique and discerning tastes of my clients. Most often they have a good idea of what they want (or do not want) but have a hard time “putting it all together.” I am able to take a set of plans and rework them based on my client’ s lifestyle and needs, thus creating a home that is both beautiful and functional. Frequently my clients use only a small fraction of the living space in their home; my goal is to get them to enjoy their entire home.

In the process of making it beautiful, I create a reflection of who they are by infusing it with their personality. Most clients never thought previously about what goes into a home or the options they have. I try and ask thought provoking questions the get the design perfect. I find it to be the highest complement when the client says I got it right.
